We are pleased to announce the release of Conversational AI Engine v2.2, available as of December 15, 2025. This update introduces new capabilities and enhancements designed to give developers greater flexibility, control, and global readiness when building conversational experiences.

- Support for geofencing has been added, enabling better control over where conversational AI services are deployed and processed.
- Agent Greeting Mode
- A new agent greeting mode allows for more structured and consistent initial interactions when a session begins.
- New Text-to-Speech Providers (Beta)
- Two new TTS providers are now available in beta:
- PlayHT
- Sarvam
- Two new TTS providers are now available in beta:
These additions expand voice options and regional support for conversational use cases.
Improvements
- TTS Data Residency Support
- ElevenLabs and OpenAI Text-to-Speech now support data residency, providing greater flexibility for customers with regional data handling requirements.

No action is required to adopt this update. Conversational AI Engine v2.2 has been deployed automatically on the backend and is available to all customers.
