Issue Description:
Users are unable to view peak user statistics by channel beyond the past three days in the admin panel. They want to access the maximum number of users connected to each channel for the entire duration of their activity on the platform.
Platform/SDK:
Agora Analytics Dashboard (Web Platform)
Error Message:
No specific error message appears, but data prior to the defined retention period is not available for viewing or export.
Step by Step Solution:
1. Log in to the Agora Admin Console:
Log in to your Agora Admin Console.
2. Navigate to Channel Analytics:
Go to Analytics > Usage Statistics > Channel Analytics.
3. Review the current data retention period based on your subscription plan:
- Starter Plan: 3 days
- Standard Plan: 7 days
- Premium Plan: 14 days
- Enterprise Plan: 30 days
4. If you need access to data beyond your current retention limit:
- Consider upgrading your plan to extend your retention period.
- Alternatively, start exporting and storing your analytics data periodically for historical tracking.
5. To export available peak data:
- Click Export or Download CSV (if available) in the Analytics panel.
- Save the file to your local storage or data warehouse for long-term analysis.
Root Cause:
Agora Analytics data retention is limited by the plan level. Once the retention period expires, older analytics data is automatically purged and cannot be recovered.
Prevention/Best Practice:
- Set up a regular export schedule (daily or weekly) to back up your analytics data before it expires.
- Upgrade to a higher-tier plan if your organization requires longer data retention.
- Consider integrating Agora APIs with your own analytics system to continuously store and monitor long-term user metrics.
